Good Times

I'm not sure why my life has taken the direction it has but I wake up everyday wondering when I will have a chance for happiness. Everyone seems to have an opinion on how I am supposed to go about attaining happiness and changing the direction or path I'm on, however, it's really not that simple. I wish there was a simple way of telling you how I got here. I wish I could just sum it up into a few sentences but then that would just be too easy and nothing in my life is easy. So, without further adieu, I will begin to tell you my story. Now, if you dont like my story or have yet another unwanted opinion about what I need to do, you can stop reading and kiss my ass. Otherwise, please proceed with this awesome literary work of art.

When I graduated from high school my parents requested that I attend a college called Bob Jones University. I agreed to attending this communist school for a year and at the end of the year I would decide whether or not I would return or go elsewhere. That was the agreement my parents and I had reached at the time. When that first year was over I returned for a second year. That first semester in my second year was awful. I was going through and emotional rollercoaster due to the fact that my high school sweetheart dumped me for my best friend. Yes, my best friend.

During the Thanksgiving break that year, one of my friends had no where to go so I invited her to come to my aunts house for the holidays. Little did I know that this was going to turn my life upside down. On our way down to my aunts house that Thanksgiving, we made a quick stop at the airport to pick up her boyfriend who had surprised her by coming in to town. Everything seemed to be going great. I had my friends with me and I thought it was going to be what I needed to forget about all the hurt and pain I was feeling over my breakup with my ex and best friend. My friends boyfriend had a friend in Atlanta that he had not seen since high school. He planned on setting me up on a blind date with him but I was not interested in the least bit. I mean, dont all blind dates end up horribly wrong? Well, I declined the blind date offer but my friends had something else on their agenda. On one of the evenings we decided to go to the mall and then to the movies to hang out. It was supposed to be just me, my friend and her boyfriend but guess who showed up.... the blind date. I was turned off immediately because of all his tattoos and because of how arrogant he was behaving.

My friend decided she wanted some alone time with her man and completely deserted me with my blind date. It turned out we had a lot in common and he was very easy to talk to and get along with so we continued to talk throughout the entitre evening.... even through the movie..Seed of Chucky. Marvelous first date movie choice. As the date continued, I found out that my friends had lied to me about his background. They had told me he was Puertorican and that he spoke Spanish. Well, when I spoke Spanish to him and got no response back I figured out lie #1 and when I then proceeded to talk to him IN ENGLISH about Puerto Rico I found out lie #2 ... that he was Black and Italian and had never set foot in Puerto Rico. I was livid at my friends but still proceeded with the date. Well, to make this long story short, we talked all night and have been together pretty much ever since. So far my life story doesnt sound so bad and it kind of sounds a bit dull but trust me... the drama will begin to unfold very shortly.  By the time I am done telling my story, you will have Jerry Springer on speed dial ready to broadcast my story and make a quick buck... so ....Stay tuned for more.
